The Taiwanese Mitac Company is about to finish the acquisition of the American mainboard manufacturer – TYAN Computer within next month, as we read over at The Inquirer, which in their turn refer to the Taiwanese Economic News.

Mitac will absorb TYAN by buying 60-70% of the company stock. One more Taiwanese company, ECS, is also involved in the deal buying around 10% of the TYAN stock.

After that the TYAN headquarters will be moved from the United States to Taiwan.

By purchasing TYAN, Mitac tends to open the door to the American market and second, to become a worthy competitor to another large manufacturer, Hon Hai, which is now getting more orders from Intel and is performing more successfully in the Chinese market.
