The vague announcement of the new ATI RADEON 9700 solution aroused a lot of questions, which were really hard to answer until recently. among them was the question about the sales schedule for the new products based on this chip and their working frequencies. Now the revealed details about the first graphics cards on ATI RADEON 9700 allow us to solve some of the matters.

According to our friends from the German chip.de site, Hercules Company shared some details about their upcoming product aka 3D Prophet 9700. The mentioned graphics cards are expected to appear in shops in mid September and should sell for around 430-450 Euro.

As for the working frequencies, Hercules 3D Prophet 9700 will support 300MHz chip and 650MHz memory frequencies. The cards will be equipped with 128MB memory, a VGA, DVI and TV-Outs.

If ATI really manages to through its RADEON 9700 into the market in September, it will mean that the Canadians will finally manage to win a share in the High-End market from the current leader, NVIDIA, which wil launch its competitors to RADEON 9700 based on NV30 only in October at the earliest.
