ABIT reps officially confirmed the rumors about the fact that some products will be produced for ABIT by ECS. The cooperation between the two companies started in June already, when ECS produced the trial mainboard samples for ABIT. It looks as if ABIT guys were pleased with the quality provided by ECS and now they claim that the share of ECS made products may reach 30% very soon.

This decision of ABIT’s is connected with the fact that the company, which used to produce only pretty expensive mainboards decided to follow in ASUS’ footsteps and to tackle the Value mainboard business as well, because there is not so much demand for expensive solutions in the today’s market. And who knows the way in Value products manufacturing better than ECS? According to an ABIT official, they will continue the cooperation between the two companies and if everything succeeds ABIT will probably give up the mainboard production and focus on something else, such as server solutions, for instance.

Almost immediately after this confirmation we hear the rumors about the possible mergence of the two. ABIT representative denied this info and claimed nothing of the kind was under consideration so far.
