As we read over here, TSMC and UMC Companies reported their June results this year. Everything is summed up in a table below for your convenience:

Revenues, million NT dollars
ParameterTSMCUMC
June 200215.6156.711
Compared with May 20022.7%1.2%
Compared with May 200183.4%58.4%
H1 200279.97230.738
Compared with H1 200121.5%-20.4%
Q2 200244.18218.631
Compared with Q1 200223.4%53.2%

In fact, I don’t think you need any long comments of ours here: the data in the table above is very illustrative. I would only like to point out the most important thing: both companies are little by little recovering from an awful crisis last spring. However, TSMC is doing a bit better than the competitor. The reason of this success lies with a much more "impressive" customer list including such companies as NVIDIA, ATi, and VIA.
