| Revenues, million NT dollars | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Company | June 2002 | Compared with May 2002 | January-June 2002 | Compared with H1 2001 |
| VIA | 1531 | -10.6% | 12630 | -31% |
| SiS | 1002 | -3.7% | 6838 | 39% |
| ALi | 588 | -7% | 3223 | 58.6% |
As we can see from the table above, the past June didn’t turn very successful for any of them: the average sales went down, which is especially the case for VIA, as they have been slowing down for a long time already.
ALi Company as usual manages to achieve pretty good results due to timely diversification of its production, and SiS keeps catching up with VIA… I think that if it hadn’t been for the limitation of production capacities, then SiS could have already taken the first position in this rating. And since these limitations are still there, VIA keeps retaining the leadership solely due to its Socket A chipsets, where no actual competition exists.
