AMD made an official press-release where they announced the launching of another Athlon MP processor rated as 2100+ (1.73GHz core clock). In fact, there is nothing new in this processor. Just like its slower brothers, it is manufactured with 0.18micron technology (Palomino core) on AMD’s fab in Dresden (Fab30), supports dual-processor configurations (AMD-760 MPX chipset) and 266MHz system bus. Its official price in 1,000-unit quantities makes around $262. The prices of other CPU models remained unchanged (see this news story).

At the same time, AMD’s official price-list got only more item, which has never been there before. It is Mobile Duron 1.3GHz (0.18micron Morgan core) selling at $134 for 1,000-unit quantities (the other prices remained unchanged). This is very strange, I should say, because no press-release about the announcement of this model has been made so far. However, we will not wait for it, as there is nothing especially interesting about the beginning of Mobile Duron 1.3Ghz supplies.
