HighPoint announced that its new SerialATA/RAID RocketRAID 1520 and RocketRAID 1540 controller cards are already available for ordering. To our great disappointment, the company didn’t share any detailed specifications of the new solutions, so we can only guess what they actually look like. I dare suppose that RocketRAID 1520 is a dual-channel SerialATA150 controller (similar to RocketRAID 133 for ATA/133), and RocketRAID 1540 is a four-channel controller (similar to RocketRAID 404). As for the chips used on them, no guess here: everything is too vague…
