AMD says, that by the time of ClawHammer release on the market, it will be the leader in performance, and Intel will have nothing to compete with it.

Today we have become aware of the new working clock-rate of the new AMD ClawHammer processors, which are available for mainboard manufacturers. A representative of one of them has said in a non-official conversation, that the clock-rate is artificially limited to 800 MHz so far, and there is no possibility for overclocking. Speaking about serial processors, which will appear in shops by December of this year, their real clock-rate is still kept in secret. AMD explained this decision by their desire not to give birth to great expectations of mainboard manufacturers and consumers. In general, this step seems to be quite reasonable, because if the company released a product which couldn’t satisfy the consumers, the company’s reputation would be shaken.
