ALi Corporation introduces a new generation chipset - M1687 north bridge and M1563 south bridge, supporting AMD Opteron and eighth-generation AMD Athlon processors.

ALi’s M1687 has support for AGP up to 8X, which provides system designers ample room to interface with various levels of graphics requirements. Also, by adapting the industry most innovations - HyperTransport technology link bus between ALi’s M1687 and M1563. ALi’s M1563 comes highly integrated with AC-Link Host Controller, Dual Channel ATA-133, 6 ports USB 2.0 Host controller, MAC controller for 1/10/100 fast Ethernet, memory stick and SD interface, and HyperTransport technology link interface.
