Unlike the previous P4PB board, the new solution is equipped with a new VIA VT8235 South Bridge supporting USB 2.0 and 6-channel sound and featuring an integrated IEEE 1394a (VIA VT6306). One more distinguishing feature of the new VIA P4PB Pro is the absence of ATA/133 RAID controller. All other features of the newcomer are just the same as by the predecessor, despite the differently looking PCB design. This is an ATX mainboard for Socket478 CPUs, equipped with 3 DIMM slots for up to 3GB PC2700/PC2100/PC1600 DDR SDRAM. There are 5 PCI slots, an AGP 4x slot, 1 CNR slot, ATA/133. It supports FliteDeck technology (system management: overclocking, status monitoring, BIOS reflashing, etc.). The mainboard is already available for ordering via VPSD (VIA Platform Solutions Division).
