Another nForce2 SPP powered mainboard appeared in Japanese retail, as I noticed over here. This time it is EPoX EP-8RDA+, quite advanced and not so expensive solution without integrated graphics and rich multimedia capabilities due to simplified I/O controller version.

The technical specifications of the novelty look as follows:

  • Supports all Socket A Athlon XP/Athlon/Duron with 200, 266 or 333MHz FSB;
  • NVIDIA nForce2 SPP chipset with MCP I/O controller;
  • 3 DIMM slots for up to 3GB of PC2100 (DDR266) and PC2700 (DDR333), slots for DDR400 memory (dual-channel configurations supported);
  • 6 PCI and 1 AGP Pro 8x slot;
  • 2-channel integrated ATA-33/66/100/133 controller;
  • 10/100/Mbit/s Ethernet;
  • 6 USB ports;
  • Optional 2 FireWire (IEEE1394a) ports;
  • Integrated AC'97 6-channel audio solution;
  • Overclocking functions, including, Vcore, Vmem and Vagp adjustments, etc;
  • Hardware monitoring functions, including Fan speed, Voltages, System environment temperature, etc;
  • ATX form-factor.

The product is priced at approximately $130, what is not so high, considering the fact that the novelties are usually a bit overpriced in Japan.
