The product will be officially available by the end of November 2002. In a series of product launch conferences in Taipei and Beijing, SiS invites a number of graphics card manufacturers such as Chaintech, C.P. Technology, DFI, ECS, and Triplex to witness the on-site demonstration of its devices equipped with Xabre family of GPUs. What is very interesting, besides the ordinary game tests and demonstrations, SiS will also showcase its devices paired with Autodesk’s professional 3D Modeling software test suite.
It is a bit strange, but ECS had decided to clock their SiS Xabre600 based graphics card they showcased at Comdex Fall 2002 up to 275/600MHz for core/memory (see this news-story), while SiS itself recommend to set the core-clock at 300MHz. In fact, it may appear that there is a mistake at ECS specs or the company decided to clock the product a bit lower in order to gain stability.
