The jerry can seems to be based on an EPIA Mini-ITX board from VIA and is called gas station 2.0, if I am not mistaken. An interesting and rather unique approach of building a personal computer, however, one should understand that the performance of C3 processors and Eden platforms in general are pretty low, so, do not expect to build something more than an advanced typewriter based on them. On the other hand, there are a lot of users who do not need feature-rich and powerful barebones from Shuttle or FIC, those, who only pay attention mostly on the appearance of PCs, but not on the hardware or performance.
I have to confess that visual appearance of VIA EPIA based systems is amazing: small as a couple of books, but still allows users to perform their everyday tasks. Maybe some time later Shuttle, or any other VIA’s partner will use the concepts of these mini-ITX projects for creating their own innovative devices.
