Post to SlashdotI remind you that in order to make the modules work at 433MHz with CAS Latency factor 2, Corsair Memory had to change the formula that represents the other timings of the module. As a result, the new devices could be described as "2-4-4-8-1T" (CAS Latency - RAS Precharge - RAS-to-CAS Delay - RAS Active to Precharge - Command Rate), while the previous products’ formula was 2-2-2-5-1. Effective today Corsair grants 2-3-3-7-1T as PC3500 timings. Frankly speaking, only the first and the last parameters can affect the performance, while the remaining are not very important in almost all the cases, however, any increase may result in the performance gain.
All the partners of Corsair should have received the new datasheets of the XMS PC3500 memory modules and update their offerings to the customers.
