The New ELSA company today announced its first products ever. The New ELSA is the company who owns “ELSA”, “Gladiac”, “Synergy” and “Gloria” brand-names as well as domain names of the former ELSA AG, who became insolvent earlier this year. The first two devices are sold without any specific brand-names, since New ELSA does not have any rights on “MicroLink” and “Viaconect” brand-names for communicational products.

There is nothing interesting about the new devices in terms of hardware-features, so to speak. Both are ordinary 56K fax-modems with V.92 protocol support, one is intended for PCI bus and another is external. The recommended prices are 25 and 60 Euros respectively. The only advantage the novelties can offer for end-users is the rich software bundle, including firewall, antiviral software, fax software and a lot of other interesting and useful programmes. The official shipments of the goods will begin in December.

Since New ELSA also owns the brand-names for graphics cards, let us expect them to make some interesting announcements probably in the near future.
