VIA’s net sales for November 2002 were approximately $66.80 million, on a sequential basis, this monthly sales revenue represents an 8.08% decrease over October’s figure of $72.67 million. It is 28% better compared to SiS’ results, but still 14% lower that during the same period last year. In total, VIA Technologies earned about $670.6 million for the eleven month of this year, more than 80% gain over SiS’ figure, but a 27.06% less than during the same period last year.
According to different reports from Taiwan, VIA’s chipset sales dropped about 10% in November, while C3 processor shipments improved drastically. Since the gap between this year’s and last year’s revenues widens, we can conclude that VIA manages to get their business momentum better bit by bit.
