Post to SlashdotSo far we don’t have any more details about the NV18 (NVIDIA is very careful about info as usual), and as for RV250, we do have almost all the details at our disposal. As is known, this chip will represent a slightly modified version of the today’s R200 (Radeon 8500).
In fact, the rumors about the upcoming RV250 launching have been circulating around since Q4 2001 already, however, they never came true. Now there appeared at least some certainty about this chip: RV250 is now supposed to start retailing in July already, i.e. in a month after the above mentioned Computex show. Almost at the same time NVIDIA should release some NV18 based cards as well. Hopefully, these rumors will not turn out a fake again :)
