Intel Reduced Celeron Prices. [05/13/2002 06:24 PM]

It is far not the first time this year that the week starts with a very pleasant event for us, users: Intel processor prices reduction. This time it touched upon Celeron (0.13micorn, Tualatin core) CPUs. The price of the fastest model working at 1.3GHz dropped from $84 to $74 (-12%), 1.2GHz – from $79 to $69 (-13%), and 1.1A GHz – from $69 to $64 (-7%). The price of 1A GHz model remained unchanged: $64.

As you remember, Intel is going to launch Celeron processors on 0.18micron Willamette-128 core in PGA478 package (Socket478) very soon. By the way, according to some unofficial info the fastest processor from this new family will be working at 1.8GHz instead of the initially supposed 1.7GHz.
