In fact, the product sheet says that the mainboard is based on i845G chipset, however, it seems to be a mistake, as it doesn’t make much sense to design an i845G based mainboard without the AGP slot (i845GL is a cheaper version of i845G without the external graphics support). I believe that Lucky Star’s marketing department decided not to overload the users with excessive info and simply removed the “L” from the chipset name :)
And in conclusion I would like to say a few words about the mainboard specs. It is designed in ATX form-factor for Socket478 processors with 400MHz and 533MHz QP bus. It is equipped with 2 DIMM slots for up to 2GB Pc2100/PC1600 DDR SDRAM, 2 PCI slots a CNR slot. It supports integrated graphics, ATA/100, USB 2.0 (ICH4), AC’97 sound. It may also come with an optional 10/100 Ethernet controller. In fact, this is a regular solution for a value PC built on Intel Celeron (Willamette-128).
I would also like to remind you that i845G/GL chipsets and Celeron (Willamette-128) processors will be launched later this month.
