The two solutions are very similar to one another, though there are a few differences in the PCB design. The new K7SOM boasts two additional DIMM slots for the maximum of 2GB PC100/PC133 SDRAM, and has a different location of the AMR slot and RJ-45 Ethernet connector. One more difference is the support of ATA/133 implemented on K7SOM (it uses SiS961 Rev. B South Bridge, and later will be provided with SiS962 South bridge supporting USB 2.0).
All other specifications of the board remained the same as by L7SOM: MicroATX form-factor, Socket A, 2 DIMM slots for up to 2GB PC1600/PC2100 DDR SDRAM, 3 PCI slots, integrated SiS315 graphics core, no AGP slot, Magic Setting technology (system bus frequency adjustment via BIOS Setup).
