As I read over here, NVIDIA is going to introduce a new version of GeForce4 MX420 chip, which will support DDR SDRAM (the first version is know to support only SDRAM). In fact, this is quite an expected move of NVIDIA’s. Firstly, it will allow to increase the performance of the slowest GeForce4 MX solution (I doubt that this is all about DDR SDRAM with 64bit access, as everyone has already understood that this solution makes absolutely no sense, even 128bit SDRAM is much better), and secondly, DDR SDRAM and SDRAM prices have become nearly equal already (as SDRAM is slowly giving way to faster DDR).

The mass shipments of the new chip version are scheduled for the end of April or later.
