As you understand, no official comment has been made so far by one of the leading makers of NVIDIA based graphics solutions, as this info is pretty confusing. On the one hand, no one can forbid ASUS to accept outsourcing orders (as the cards will not sell as ASUS products), but on the other hand, NVIDIA is makes sure that its partners are "loyal". So, this kind of favours for ATI (if they ever take actual place) will hardly remain unnoticed :)
