Zx1 supports 2 or 4 McKinley processors, AGP 4x and PCI-X buses, and offers a very flexible memory subsystem, based on DDR SDRAM. HP proclaims that zx1 will be able to reach a very high bandwidth up to 12.8 GB per sec with a low latency at the same time, available due to four dual-channel DDR SDRAM controllers. Besides, one or two memory controllers are available. Maximal memory size supported is 256 GB.
I would also like to remind that Intel itself is developing an i870 chipset for McKinley which will be officially announced in June together with the CPU release.
