The latest changes that took place at the European graphics card market have made it a dainty bit for most graphics card suppliers. After Hercules switched over to producing cards based on chips from ATI and ELSA rolled up its business, the remained just a few companies to sell cards based on NVIDIA chips in Europe. In fact, the only manufacturer making NVIDIA chip based cards who has a wide dealer network in the European region is Creative.

This way, it’s pretty logical that traditionally America-oriented companies are now striving to enter the European market. First of all, this is Visiontek which has already started shipping its cards built on GeForce4 Ti and GeFprce4 MX in the EU.

However, Creative traditionally enjoys high sales in Europe and now it intends to resume its positions. Today this company feels really well at the European market – the profits of its graphics branch now equal to the former financial acme of 1999. Now it has a good chance to increase the sales. According to an official from Creative, the company will do its best not to let American suppliers like Visiontek win over a significant market share.

We seem to be in for a bloody competition war between Creative and its American rivals (mainly Visiontek) to break out at the European market. Yet it’s hard to say for sure who’ll finally win, but Creative will surely take the advantage of its traditionally firm stand in Europe.
