There are no doubts about Samsung’s leadership as a manufacturer of the fastest memory for graphics cards. Most recent high-performance cards are equipped with memory chips from Samsung. Slower cards traditionally feature chips from the other manufacturers, but time passes, and even relatively cheap cards are now equipped with ever faster memory chips. In these conditions the best chances are with the best-equipped manufacturers, and Samsung is one of these lucky guys.
What are we driving at? You see, Samsung says that its plans for this year are to win 80% of DDR SDRAM graphics market! How do you find it? All in all, it is untypical for Samsung to share groundless dreams. It is serious enough to think over its every word.
By the way, according to Samsung forecasts, 70% of graphics cards released this year will be equipped with DDR SDRAM. So, if these plans come true, Samsung chips will be installed every other graphics card made in 2002 (to be more exact, in every 56 cards of 100). What’s going to happen next?
