While there is over a year left before 0.09micron manufacturing technology is put into life, Intel will continue increasing the core clock frequency of its Pentium 4 processors built on 0.13micron Northwood core. Within IDF, Intel showcased a Pentium 4 (Northwood) CPU working well at 4GHz. Though they had to use liquid nitrogen to provide proper die cooling. However, the same CPU with air cooling system managed to run smoothly at 3GHz.

But no one knows if the fast processors like that are to come soon. Before the end of the year Pentium 4 processors will reach 3GHz frequency, and the 3.5GHz barrier has been considered the top of Northwood’s ability, after which Intel will start using for its Pentium 4 CPUs a new Prescott core produced with more progressive technology.

Why use nitro when one can run two 3Ghz+ cpu's together on one motherboard and get 9Ghz+ performance which is un"x"beliveable.........."fun".
( U know 3x3 makes 9). I see 1Tetrahz performance by amatures in near future.
That means the clockrate run is out, the harddisk run is allready out and the next is who will be the first to make it smallest i.e.like a wristwatch or a earplug!

I sence your question on how to get the 1 Tetra affect performance by cpu's, it's simply by the chessboard calculation affect, like 3x3 = 9, next is 9 times 9 is what and then what is 81 times 81? (65) so 1 Tetra is easy if you know how to get 65!
