Strange as it might seem, but ASUS this time decided to stick to the reference design from NVIDIA very carefully. This is actually the first time during the entire period of their cooperation. Of course, there in no need to worry, as NVIDIA is very good at making reference designs, however, the mere fact that ASUS gave up the idea of working out their own reference design this time may mean that they are not going to introduce their Deluxe version of the GeForce4.

ASUS used to develop its own design for all fastest graphics card models based on NVIDIA chips, because their design boasted hardware monitoring functions and allows equipping the graphics card with a video-In. Now ASUS deprived itself of these opportunities, which means that we will see no Deluxe version coming. At least in the near future.

At the same time, ASUS V840Ultra will differ from most graphics cards based on GeForce4 Ti4600 by the working frequencies. The chip frequency will be equal to 330MHz while the memory frequency – to 660MHz. As all of you remember, the GeForce4 Ti 4600 reference card works at 300MHz core and 650MHz memory frequencies. But this is none other but primitive overclocking: as we see, ASUS didn’t even use the heatsinks for the memory chips and has an ordinary chip cooling solution.
