Creative has sent us an official press-release saying it has launched a new web-camera and cut recommended retail prices for some of its products.

The new web-camera is called Creative WebCam (an original name, isn’t it? ;). It is equipped with a small 352x288-pixel matrix and has standard functions for a device of its class: automatic exposure management, shooting at 160x120 to 352x288 resolutions with 30 fps, etc. Creative WebCam is connected to the PC via USB 1.1. Recommended retail price is $24.

Now a few words about the price-cut. This month Creative PC-CAM 300 got cheaper by 15%, Creative PC-CAM 600 - by 17%, Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital sound cards – by 7% and Sound Blaster 5.1 Digital - by 6%). After the price-cut the recommended retail prices for these products look as follows:

  • Creative PC-CAM 300 - $104;
  • Creative PC-CAM 600 - $124;
  • Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital - $33;
  • Sound Blaster 5.1 Digital - $66.
