Even though Gigabyte failed to become the first manufacturer to announce its VIA KT333 based solution, (though the press release said a totally different thing), but it really turned out the first real mainboard selling. :)
Let’s recall GA-7VRXP specifications, which are really impressive, I should say. This is an ATX mainboard for Socket A processors equipped with 3 DIMM slots for up to 3GB PC2700 DDR SDRAM. The mainboard also features an AGP 4x slot, 5 PCI slots, ATA/133 support due to VIA VT8233A South Bridge. There is an integrated ATA/133 RAID controller from Promise (PDC 20276), 6-channel sound controller from Creative (CT5880) and VIA VT6202 USB 2.0 controller. The mainboard also supports Gigabyte’s brand DualBIOS technology.
And now a few words about its pricing. I suppose that the price of this solution is more than modest (especially bearing in mind perfect configuration of the totally new mainboard): $148-$150.
