Now that the concerns about SARS are over, Computex Taipei 2003 exhibition took off today in Taiwan. This event is extremely interesting for a lot of actual products being demonstrated at the trade-show. You will hardly learn anything about new fundamental technologies at Computex, but you will see a lot of devices or their prototypes during the exhibition, talk to people from the inside of the manufacturing industry and so on.

The hottest topics of this year’s trade show will be mainboards for AMD Athlon 64 processors, platforms for Intel Prescott chips, Intel Centrino-based notebooks as well as other wireless options. Also expect various barebones and stylish communication products to emerge in significant quantities.

X-bit labs will report loads of news from Computex Taipei 2003, stay tuned.
