Readers of X-bit labs might have noticed that even we sometimes get those annoying pop-ups through the banner network. Generally, we make our best to avoid them, but not always succeed and sometimes it turns out there is a much better way to solve this problem.
<%BANNER[article]%>If you do not like pop-ups at X-bit labs and other web-sites, try a very efficient free pop-up blocker from Alexa.com. It not only blocks pop-ups, but allows you to search the Web and other resources directly from your toolbar; learn more about web-sites including traffic information and contact info; surf more efficiently with Related Links for each page and share opinions about web-sites with other users.
Alexa.com search engine is powered by Google – one of the best search systems in the Net. Therefore, you will not only block pop-ups, but will also be able to search the Internet using Google absolutely for free!
X-bit labs will appreciate if you tell us what you think about Alexa toolbar (available over here) in the Reader’s Feedback Forum. Hopefully, you and possibly your friends will enjoy the Alexa.com toolbar.
Some more information on the matter is available in our Community Announcements.
NB! Our forum member noticed that there is nothing common between Alexa-Spyware registry and Alexa.com toolbar, Alexa.com is a site by Amazon and Google, and Alexa.com toolbar is same as Google toolbar but with a different skin.
NB! In case you did not like Alexa.com toolbar, you may easily uninstall it from your MS Windows system via "Control Panel", "Add and Remove Programs".
