Computex Taipei 2004 is to take place on June 1st to 5th, 2004 in the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Hall1, Hall 2, Hall 3 and the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). This year, Computex Taipei has made quite a few new records: not only the numbers of exhibitors and booths used are the highest ever, but it is also the fist time 4 exhibition halls are used for any exhibition.

Computex Taipei is organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taipei Computer Association (TCA).

Moving into its 24th year, Computex Taipei has been growing steadily during the past few years; since second floor of Hall 1 was first used in 2002 and the additional new exhibition hall of TWTC Hall 3 in 2003, this year, scale of the exhibition made record high again with 4 exhibition halls. In terms of exhibitors, this year there are 1347 domestic and international companies joined this major event, occupying 2828 booths, representing a growth of 16.9% in net exhibition space. Computex Taipei is now the second largest international professional exhibition next to CeBIT Hannover, Germany.

At Computex Taipei 2004 loads of various cutting-edge hardware and technologies will be demonstrated, including, but not limited to mainboards, graphics cards, communication products, software, display equipment, peripherals, components & parts, systems and so on.

X-bit labs will deliver the latest news straight from the exhibition, from where X-bit labs’ Editor-in-Chief Anna Filatova reports.
