<%BANNER[article]%>

Intel has created a high-profile launch of its new products designed for gamers and PC enthusiasts – Intel Pentium 4 and i925XE – however, nearly all the reviews over the Web echo the same point: currently 1GHz processor bus speed hardly gives anything to processors that already have 2MB of cache inside and to pump up the speed significantly Intel needs to increase core-clock of its products.

Here is the list of reviews we managed to find:

Memory

AMDReview.com has taken a look at Simpletech’s dual-channel PC3200 memory module kit. The SDC3200C3 memory module kit features CL2.5 3-3-8 timings at 400MHz working frequency and even though this was an entry-level product, the reviewer was able to make those modules run at aggressive timings of CL2 2-2-5.

SoftWare Zone has posted an interesting article about memory performance dependence. The author takes a look at several configurations of memory module kits involving dual-channel and single-channel products. Click to discover how much extra memory you need to change performance of your computer.

Hardwarezone.com has issued a comparison of three memory module kits: TwinMOS Speed Premium, Corsair ValueSelect and Kingston ValueRAM. All three memory modules operate at 400MHz, however, some of them offer more aggressive latency settings, some offer better overclockability and some are priced more reasonably, if you want the details, read the issue.

Multimedia

Mobile devices
