Qimonda, a leading supplier of dynamic random access memory, has accused LSI Logic and Seagate Technologies of patent infringement. The memory supplier has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to open investigation on the matter.
Qimonda has accused LSI and Seagate of infringing on patents for “semiconductor integrated circuits and products containing same”, an ITC commission notice said, reports Reuters news-agency.
The commission is a popular venue for patent infringement cases because the U.S. agency can bar imports of any devices it finds are using infringing technology, the agency notes.
