Foxconn Technology Group, the world's largest contract maker of electronics, plans to invest $210 million and hire additional nearly 36 thousand employees to manufacture products for Apple in Jiangsu province in eastern China.

The new plant that is projected to start operations in October, 2012, will be 40 thousand square meters large and will employ 35 800 workers. The manufacturing factory will be located in Huai'an city in Jiangsu province in eastern China, reports China Daily web-site. The annual output value of the plant is expected to reach between $949 million and $1.1 billion.

Foxconn is the largest manufacturing partner of Apple, which is among the most successful consumer electronics maker in the world. The new production line will further strengthen ties between Apple and Foxconn.

Earlier this month Foxconn confirmed that it would produce televisions for Apple and earlier this year specifically acquired a stake in Sharp's LCD manufacturing fab.
