Falcon Northwest, a leading producer of high-end personal computers, this week introduced a new version of its Tiki small-form-factor desktop that incorporates the world’s most powerful single-chip graphics card, Nvidia Corp.’s GeForce GTX Titan. The latter makes Tiki the world’s highest-performing small form-factor PC.

"GeForce GTX Titan will allow us to create the nearly-impossible product our customers have wanted for years: a ridiculously fast, tiny system that you barely know is running," said Kelt Reeves, CEO of Falcon Northwest.

The GeForce GTX Titan is powered by Nvidia GK110 processor containing 7.1 billion of transistors. The chip has active 2688 stream processors, 224 texture units, 48 raster operating as well as 384-bit memory bus. The monstrous graphics processor is clocked at 837MHz and can boost its speed to 876MHz, which is a result of the extremely high number of transistors. The graphics card comes with 6GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 6GHz. According to Nvidia, systems powered by GeForce GTX Titan generally deliver 30% - 40% higher graphics performance compared to similar PCs powered by AMD Radeon HD 7970 or GeForce GTX 680, respectively. Each GeForce GTX Titan costs starting from $999 in retail.

Falcon Northwest Tiki is based on Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe mainboard that supports LGA1155 microprocessors up to the Intel Core i7-3770K. The system can be configured to include such high-end components as Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan graphics card, 16GB of DDR3 memory (at up to 1866MHz), three hard disk drives (one 3.5" and two 2.5"), Blu-ray disc drive and so on. To speed it up and provide exceptional stability, Tiki is equipped with a liquid cooling system.

Making a desktop PC this thin presented a new design challenge: it is fairly easy to knock over with a stray elbow or by a pet. So Falcon custom cut Tiki's base out of solid granite. Tiki is the first PC ever to ship with 6 pounds of natural stone as standard equipment. The polished granite base gives Tiki both stability and a uniquely high-end style.

Falcom Northwest Tiki are custom built to order. Pricing starts at under $1900 for basic configurations and ranges to $5000+ for custom painted, fully-loaded builds.
