MSI officially launched a new mainboard called 745 Ultra and built on SiS745 chipset.
In fact, I have already told you about this mainboard here, however, just in case let me repeat a few things and add some more :) This Socket A mainboard features three DDR DIMM slots for up to 3GB PC2700/PC2100 DDR SDRAM, one AGP 4x, five PCI and one CNR slot. It also has integrated AC’97 sound, 4 USB 1.1 ports, 2 IEEE 1394 ports (supported by the chipset), supports MSI’s brand D-Bracket, Live BIOS, Live Driver and PC Alert III technologies.<%BANNER[article]%>
By the way, I would like to point out one very unpleasant issue. Despite the fact that SiS745 chipset was announced last September (see this news story) the mainboards based on it haven’t yet appeared in retail. However, it has become typical of SiS already, so there is no need to worry :)
