Long-Awaited Official ASUS Announcement

ASUS made an official press-release where they announced five graphics cards based on the new generation NVIDIA GeForce4 chips.

The detailed specs of these graphics cards were solicitously reported by The Inquirer on January 30 already (see this news story) that is why we will simply repeat them now:

• ASUS V8460Ultra. This graphics card is built on the fastest GeForce4 Ti4600 chip in the family working at 330MHz core frequency and equipped with 128MB DDR SDRAM working at 660MHz.
• ASUS V8440. This card is based on GeForce4 4400 chip working at 300MHz core frequency. It will also go with 128MB DDR graphics memory working at 550MHz.
• ASUS V8170Pro. This graphics card will be based on GeForce4 MX Pro (GeForce4 MX460). The chip frequency will be 300MHz. It will be provided with 64MB DDR SDRAM working at 550MHz.
• ASUS V8170DDR. This product will be based on 270MHz GeForce4 MX440 (GeForce4 MX DDR) and will have 64MB DDR SDRAM working at 400MHz.
• ASUS V8170SE. This solution will be built on GeForce4 MX420 (GeForce4 Ti420) and will boast 64MB SDR SDRAM. The chip and memory working frequencies will make 270MHz and 166MHz respectively.

In conclusion I have to add that the mentioned graphics cards from ASUS are promised to start shipping in the end of the month.
