Intel 845G Chipset Delayed Again?

As I saw over here, Intel will announce its first integrated Pentium 4 chipset not in April, as I have supposed before (see this news story), but a month later, in May. This way, the chipset was postponed for the third time already: at first Intel was going to announce it in the end of 2001, then the launching was moved to April 2002, and now it is scheduled for May.

However, now we all know exact dates, connected with the chipset announcement: mass production of i845G should start on May 6, and its official announcement is planned for May 20. In other words, its will repeat the story of i845 B-Step: the official chipset announcement will happen when most of the mainboard manufacturers are ready to start shipping their mainboards based on it. I’d like to admit, that this is a really correct approach.
