We received a word about the upcoming price-cut for Intel CPUs due on January 27. It is expected that since that date Pentium III CPUs ($850 to $933MHz) will sink till the funny $103 per item in over-1000 piece quantities). This way Intel wants to sell the processors from the stores (today they cost $143).
Never before have Pentium III CPUs been that cheap! Still, considering Celeron CPUs already using Tualatin/256 die, this price-cut looks pretty logical.
