VIA proceeds with aggressive popularization of DDR333 (PC2700), still more press releases streaming over our heads. This time VIA announced its joint project with AVL (Advanced Validation Labs, Inc.) which was characterized as "the first industry independent certify program for DDR333 modules". The program includes a check of JEDEC standard matching and overall tests of PC2700 modules from different manufacturers. The tests will be run by AVL, while VIA will provide test reference platforms and corresponding PR actions. But the most baffling point is that so far VIA hasn’t released a single chipset with PC2700 DDR SDRAM support (KT333 is to arrive no sooner than next month). :)
