Intel Corporation yesterday announced seven new mobile processors built on 0.13-micron fabrication process.
The three new Low Voltage and Ultra Low Voltage Pentium III-M processors and an Ultra Low Voltage mobile Celeron processor, at speeds up to 866 MHz, aim at ultra-portable mobile PC market segment. For value notebooks, Intel launched three mobile Celeron processors at speeds up to 1.20 GHz.
The mobile Pentium III-M family feature architectural enhancements including support of Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology that can automatically switch between Maximum Performance Mode and Battery Optimized Mode, providing the best balance of performance and low power consumption. The Deeper Sleep mode provides a power reduction from previous low power sleep states to help extend battery life.
