GeForce4 Launching Postponed Again

We learned here that NVIDIA is going to delay the official launching of its upcoming GeForce4 chips generation. At first we supposed that this thing will take place in January (see this news story), however, now the date has been moved to February.
As for the reasons for this decision, they include the following. Firstly, ATI, NVIDIA’s main competitor, is still too far away from the beginning of its R300 and RV250 mass production (see this news story). And secondly, the current Titanium family is selling really well now. Moreover, we should also remind you that the TSMC’s 0.15micron production lines are loaded to the full extent (see this news story). So, what’s the need of hurrying ahead of time if you can get the revenues without any risks and extra efforts?
As to the technological side to the picture, the sources report that NVIDIA doesn’t have any problems here. The chips are ready and their samples have been already sent to the graphics cards makers.
