Intel Shipping Pentium III 1.33GHz!

Not so long ago one of our well-informed sources told us that besides the well-known Pentium III (Tualatin/256) working at 1.13GHz and 1.2GHz, Intel was also shipping a CPU working at 1.33GHz. At that time we didn’t pay due attention to this news, because this CPU was absent in the spec update. However, today the situation has changed completely: the processor is there now (S-Spec – SL5VX). In fact, it is the same Pentium III on Tualatin/256 core with tA1 stepping in FC-PGA2 package, featuring 133MHz system bus and 06B1h CPUID.
Unfortunately, it is still unclear what for Intel ships these processors, however, there is no doubt that they do exist not as samples but as normal mass pieces. It’s only a pity that they are still not on the official price-list.
