Although AGP-bus provides more bandwidth for graphics cards, some core-logic developers continue to introduce their modern integrated chipsets for low-end computers without AGP support. This year Intel and SiS offer their i845GL, i845GV and SiS650GL chipsets that cannot provide an AGP-slot. Even despite of the fact that the first one was not too successful at all and not a lot of customers who purchase low-end machines upgrade their PCs afterwards, some of those who bought i845GL based computer may want to improve their graphics performance some day. Thus, those manufacturers who can offer a fast and comparatively modern graphics card for PCI-slot will definitely not remain without potential clients.

Today CP Technology announced its RV25P-B3 that seems to be the fastest PCI graphics card of all times. The newcomer is powered by RADEON 9000 clocked at 250MHz and 64MB of DDR SDRAM functioning at 400MHz. The card is also equipped with D-Sub, DVI-I and a TV-Out connectors (PAL/NTSC) and supports multi-display capabilities via HydraVision software. The board will definitely find its place in this world and provided that its pricing is reasonable enough, will be demanded well.
