Intel announced their intention to provide the users buying boxed Pentium 4 processors with RDRAM RIMM modules of a different color. Starting from 12 February you will see no more blue modules: it looks as if the users got allergic to the traditional blue color of the module heat spreader. That’s why the boxed Pentium 4 processors will go together with the RIMM modules with gray aluminum heat spreader.
We can’t help quoting Intel here: "This change is purely cosmetic and has no affect to either the performance of the memory module or processor".
