Biostar announced the launching of a new low-cost FC-PGA/Socket370 mainboard based on VIA PLE133 chipset. It is similar to Intel 810E, however, it supports PC133 SDRAM. The MicroATX mainboard is called M6VLB and its features are quite up to the requirements of this market sector. It is equipped with 2 DIMM slots supporting up to 512MB PC100/PC133 SDRAM, 3 PCI, 1 ISA and 1 AMR slot. The integrated graphics core is Trident 9880 (no external AGP graphics supported). The mainboard supports ATA/100 interface due to VIA VT82C686B South Bridge.
Besides Biostar, there was one more product on this rare chipset announced recently. As we reported the day before yesterday, Lucky Star also introduced a mainboard on VIA PLE133.
