Quantum3D today announced that they signed an agreement with NVIDIA, according to which NVIDIA will continue shipping VSA-100 chips and Voodoo3 as soon as the 3dfx purchase is officially completed. Although nothing has been mentioned about the term of this agreement, i.e. how long NVIDIA is going to proceed with these shipments. However, it was also announced that Quantum3D and NVIDIA are also planning to work together on the new solutions based on NVIDIA chips for the VST (Visual Simulation and Training) and EGS (Embedded Graphics Subsystems) markets. We can hardly imagine a multi-chip AAlchemy designed with NVIDIA chips. These new products are most likely to look like Quadro solutions, though we may also be mistaken…
As you know, Quantum3D is now using VSA-100 chips for their Aalchemy (used by such companies as Lockheed Martin Information Systems, Rikei, Soft Reality, SDS International, Boeing, Renault, Thomson Training Systems, Lantech, INDRA, Adacel, etc.), and Voodoo3 – for Graphite. Both systems are aimed at the VST, EGS č OHE (Out-of-Home Entertainment OHE) markets.
