In the nearest future AOpen is going to start selling its new mainboard: AK73-1394. This mainboard will be a successor to a very successful Socket A product – AK73 Pro and unlike its predecessor, the new board will boast higher stability, black PCB and an integrated IEEE-1394 controller.
As a result, AK73-1394 will be an ATX mainboard based on VIA KT133 chipset and equipped with a new VIA686B South Bridge. The mainboard will have AGP Pro slot, 5 PCI and 1 CNR slots. It will also support some overclocking features. You will be able to change the CPU clock frequency multiplier and set the FSB frequency between 100MHz and 166MHz. As for the memory, there are 3 DIMM slots for PC133 SDRAM. Besides, we can’t also leave out the newest technologies AK73-1394 will have: DIE_HARD BIOS and Dr. Voice (similar to DualBIOS and voiced diagnostics).
