Chaintech Company launched one more mainboard from the Apogee family. If the first mainboard from this family, 7VJL, was designed for Socket A processors, and the novelty called 9EJL1 supports Socket478 Intel Pentium 4 processors with 400MHz and 533MHz bus. The newcomer is based on i845E chipset, features 2 DIMM slots supporting PC2100 DDR SDRAM, an AGP 4x slot and 6 PCI slots. There is an integrated ATA/133 RAID controller, 6 USB 2.0 ports, 6-channel AC’97 sound and 10/100Mbit Ethernet.

The "Apogee" name is justified by a few things. Firstly, the mainboard and the board are designed very stylishly. Namely, the PCB of 9EJL1 is black, all connectors are golden-colored, and the PCI and DIMM slots, the designers are so much proud of are of vividly green color. Secondly, the package contents is highly original. Besides, the mainboard itself the happy owner of the new Chaintech 9EJL1 receives two round ATA cables, Body Theatre headset and CBox panel, which fits into the 3-inch bay of the PC case and equipped with 4 USB ports and a number of audio connectors.
Chaintech 9EJL1 has already started shipping and is offered for sale for 159 Euro.
